In a Senate vote of 51-45, Linda McMahon was confirmed as President Trump’s Secretary of the Department of Education.
President Trump previously said he was hoping McMahon would “ do a great job and put yourself out of a job.”
McMahon said, “President Trump believes that the bureaucracy in Washington should be abolished so that we can return education to the states, where it belongs…I wholeheartedly support and agree with this mission.”
McMahon is President Trump’s 22nd nominee to be confirmed into his cabinet.
