The Argentinian National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office No. 16 has released the preliminary cause of death to Liam Payne after falling from his third floor hotel room is “polytrauma” and “internal and external hemorrhage.”
Prosecutors conducted the preliminary autopsy and found “25 injuries…compatible with those caused by a fall…and said his brain injuries were “enough to cause death,” while the “internal and external bleeding” Payne suffered to his head and upper body were also contributing factors to his death.
Hotel personnel contacted authorities on a 911 call with regards of an “aggressive man who could be under the effects of drugs and alcohol” and complaints that Payne was “destroying the entire room” as well as concerns of his life being at risk because the room had a balcony.
Authorities are still investigating Payne’s death, but believe he was alone when the fall occurred.
