Accused murderer Jose Ibarra, of nursing student Laken Riley appeared in court this morning, waving his rights to have a trial by jury and has opted for a bench trial by the judge.
Ibarra, 26, an illegal Venezuelan migrant pled his innocence in another trial in May, for allegedly killed Riley, 22, while she was on a running trail on the University of Georgia campus. Riley died from blunt force trauma and asphyxiation.
