The Montreal Canadiens have announced that forward Patrik Laine will be out 2-3 months with a left knee sprain.
During the Canadiens loss on Saturday to the Toronto Maple Leafs, Laine went knee to knee with Leafs farmhand Cedric Pare forcing Laine to leave the game.
Laine's injury is not expected to need surgery.
