Kopitar Scores His 1,200th Career Point

The Los Angeles Kings captain Anze Kopitar scored his 1,200th point of his career on Wednesday night, in front of a home crowd..


Kopitar had a goal and an assist in the Kings 6-0 win over the Minnesota Wild. 


He is only the fourth player born outside of North America to reach 1,200 points with one team. He joins Alex Ovechkin, Stan Mikita and Evegni Malkin. Kopitar has played his entire 18 year career with the Kings.   


He became the 52nd player in NHL history to reach the 1,200-point mark.
