The New York Knicks have named point guard Jalen Brunson as the team's 36th captain in franchise history.
Brunson saved the Knicks almost $113 million to put towards future roster additions earlier this offseason when he signed a 4-year, $156.5 million contract extension.
Last season Brunson averaged 28.7 points and 6.7 assists for the Knicks.
