President Donald Trump's lawyers asked crooked New York Judge Juan Merchan again to place a gag order on Michael Cohen for his continued attacks on Trump during interviews and on social media. The latest was a series of TikTok videos mocking and attacking Trump.
Trump attorney Todd Blanche argued that it was unfair for Mr. Cohen to attack President Trump constantly in a public forum while Trump is himself subjected to a gag order so strict that Justice Merchan earlier this week threatened to impose jail time if Trump continues to violate the gag order.
Government prosecutor Joshua Steinglass shot back...
"Judge, we have repeatedly instructed all the witnesses in this case to refrain from making public statements. The fact is we have no control over what they do. The fact of the matter is, these witnesses are not subject to a gag order and we have no remedy if they engage in these activities."
The judge told prosecutors to tell "Mr Cohen that the judge is asking him to refrain from making any more statements about the ongoing trial or Trump." He told them to tell him this directive is coming from the bench. Merchan said "tell Mr. Cohen on the judge's authority, to cease and desist these activities."
Of course nothing was really done. Instead of issuing a gag order on Cohen he tells the prosecution to warn him again, despite the fact they said they've told him many times to stop. On their own admission they have no control over Cohen. The crooked judge, doing the left's bidding, would rather have Cohen continuing his attacks on Trump all weekend again with Trump being threatened with jail time by this judge if he responds or says Cohen's name. This weaponization of the Justice System continues blatantly, out in the open, against the Biden regime's political opponent.
