Jets Dreams Are Carted Off

Former Green Bay Packer and newly acquired New York Jets, Aaron Rodgers, has reportedly torn his Achilles tendon. After trading for the star quarterback just this offseason, the Jets had high hopes and expectations to make a push for their first Super Bowl since 1969.

All that came crumbing down when just 4 plays into their first drive of the season pressure got through on the left side and Rodgers was sacked. Rodgers attempted to stand up and call the next play but quickly had to take seat back on the turf. Rodgers was seen going into the blue tent and later taken on a cart into the locker room for further examination where it would later be determined he will be out for the season. The Jets however, led by former first round pick Zach Wilson, would go on to defeat the Buffalo Bills on a 65 yard punt return in overtime.

As for the future, it is unknown if the Jets will be able to get a unsigned veteran to take the helm or will they be putting their faith in Wilson as their quarterback for the rest of the season, only time will tell.
