March 20th is the International Day of Happiness. The day was established in 2012 by the United Nations General Assembly. The purpose of the day is “recognizing the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings around the world and the importance of the recognition in public policy objectives.”
March 20th is also the first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. The spring, or vernal equinox officially begins at 5:01 a.m. EST and the Northern Hemisphere will now begin to point toward the sun.
