Inflation Drops Lower than Expected for March

According to Bureau of Labor Statistics data released on Thursday, the U.S. Consumer Price Index dropped to 2.4% in March, coming in lower than the 2.6% that was projected. 


It's the first time prices have fallen on a monthly basis since May 2020.


Core CPI inflation fell below 3% for the first time since March 2021.
