Illegal Coach Charged in Teen’s Murder in CA

Illegal immigrant and youth soccer coach Mario Edgardo Garcia-Aquino, is charged with the murder of one of his 13-year-old players, Oscar “Omar” Hernandez in California.

Aquino, 43, allegedly killed Hernandez and his body was found dumped on the side of a road in Oxnard, CA. Hernandez was reported missing on March 30, after he didn’t return home from a visit to Aquino on March 28.

Aquino is also charged with felony counts of assault with the intent to commit a lewd act involving a 16-year-old on February 2024 and a 14-year-old in 2022.

Aquino, is known as an EWI, (Entry Without Inspection), or a “Got Away” who entered the US illegally at an unknown date and location.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said, “If for some reason, anybody fears coming forward, even as a youth or a family because you may be here undocumented, we’re not going to ask about that. Please, you need to come forward. We will assist you.”
