Hurricane Francine Aftermath

Category 2 Hurricane Francine struck landfall on the Gulf Coast of New Orleans, Louisiana. Francine reached up 100 mph winds and had over 8 inches of rainfall in a short period of time. 


The city left hundreds of thousands of people without power, downed trees and power lines, debris-filled streets, roofs ripped off, and flooding. Some cities sewer systems are overwhelmed. All flights at the New Orleans airport have been canceled.


Dozens have been evacuated and rescued. No injuries have been reported.
