Hundreds of migrants from dozens of countries left Sunday from Mexico’s southern border and are travelling by foot to the U.S. border. They are travelling in large groups with the hopes they will lower the risks of being stopped by immigration officers or getting attacked by gangs.
Some of the migrants said they are hoping to make it to the U.S. border before the Presidential election in November. They are worried that if former President Trump gets back into office, he will close the border to asylum seekers.
