In a 216-214 vote, the Republican led House of Representatives passed a budget resolution that will allow them to start unlocking President Trump's agenda package.
The House and Senate both needed to pass the resolution to begin the reconciliation process to avoid a potential Democrat filibuster.
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-La) said...
"We want to make sure we're delivering on our shared goals in the budget resolution process. Our two chambers are directly aligned also on a very important principle: And that is the principle of fiscal responsibility. We're going to protect the essential programs for everybody that's eligible to receive those."
