Philadelphia Phillies star first baseman Bryce Harper broke out of his hitless (0-11) start of the season on Tuesday night in a big way, crushing three home runs.
Harper's first hit of the season was a homer in the first to put the Phillies up 1-0. His second of the night put the Phils back on top 2-1. In the seventh inning he blew the game open with a 422 foot grand slam to make it 8-1. The Phillies added another run and won the game 9-4.
On his second home run, Harper scored his 1,000th career run scored.
It was the second time Harper hit three home runs in a game. The last time was on May 6th, 2015 when he was with the Washington Nationals.
