Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden has been fined by the NBA $100K for publicly saying he wouldn't play for the 76ers unless his trade demands were met.
Earlier this month at an event in China, Harden said "That he'd never be apart of an organization that included 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey." He also called Morey a "Liar". These comments were a major factor in the fine.
"The leagues investigation, which included an interview of Harden, confirmed that these comments referenced Harden's belief that the 76ers would not accommodate his request to be traded" the league stated.
