The Cleveland Guardians have acquired right-handed starter Alex Cobb from the San Francisco Giants for pitching prospect Jacob Bresnahan and a player to be named later.
Cobb hasn't pitched in the majors yet this season as he is recovering from offseason hip surgery. In 6 minor league games he has a 3.93 ERA with 24 strikeouts over 18 1/3 innings.
