Gators Edge Cougars in Title Game Thriller

The Florida Gators (36-4) stormed back from a 12-point deficit on Monday night to capture its third NCAA Men's Basketball Championship in school history, beating the Houston Cougars 65-63. 


Florida led the game for just .64 seconds, .46 of which were the final seconds of the game. 


Gators guard Walter Clayton Jr., who scored 11 points in the game, all in the second half, along with 5 rebounds and 7 assists, was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2025 Final Four. Clayton averaged 22.5 points, and 4.5 assists in the tournament. 


The Gators had four comebacks in their six March Madness wins.
