After winning a talent show on March 8, 1955, in Abilene, TX, the Gatlin Brothers Grammy-winning career began to soar.
Rudy, 2, Steve, 4, and Larry, 6, won the juvenile division singing a gospel song. That talent show led them to a regular gig on “The Slim Willet Show,” a local television program and the rest is history.
Rudy said, “We didn’t make a big thing at 50 (years), or 55 or 60 – not even 65! But 70? Yeah, we’re gonna try to blow this one out a little bit.”
The brothers will kick off their tour on the actual 70th anniversary of when they got their first break, in Abilene, TX on March 8, 2025 at the Abilene Convention Center.
