Emmy-nominated actor, Matthew Perry, 54, was found dead in a hot tub in his Los Angeles home. Law enforcement said cause of death was most likely drowning. An on going investigation and an autopsy will be performed to determine the official cause and manner of death, which could take weeks to be announced.
No signs of foul play were found in the initial investigation.

Perry battled with drug and alcohol addiction from about 1997-2021. Perry almost lost his life at age 49 from a gastrointestinal perforation, and spent two weeks in a coma and five months in a hospital after his colon burst from opioid overuse.
Perry overcame his addictions and in November 2022 released a tell-all book, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A memoir.”
