On Tuesday, the family of former Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe has announced that he has passed away at the age of 89 with his family by his side.
Inhofe developed a sudden illness over the Fourth of July holiday, but the family provided no details.
He served in Congress for more than 20 years.
Inhofe is survived by his wife, Kay, his three children, Molly, Jimmy and Katy, and more than a dozen grandchildren.
