Escaped Prisoner Still on the Loose

Alleem Borden, escaped prisoner is still on the loose and eluded police once again. After being arrested on Sunday, Borden complained of pain, and authorities took him to Temple University’s Episcopal Hospital on Monday morning. Borden was able to out run police after being discharged from the hospital while being handcuffed from behind.

A day later, Borden was seen on surveillance video entering a home nearby and was known to frequent another home a few miles away. U.S. Marshals were able to get a warrant and when they knocked on the door of one of the residences, Borden then ran from the back of the home and jumped down a 30-foot embankment, landing on SEPTA train tracks and continued running north in inclement weather.

Supervising Deputy U.S. Marshal Robert Clark said, “It just wasn’t worth the safety of my officers to take that jump and try to pursue him.” Clark warns the public to consider Borden as “possibly armed, dangerous and undoubtedly desperate.”

Authorities are offering a $2,500 reward and encouraging citizens to call in any tips or info at 1-866-865-TIPS (8477).
