Escaped Philadelphia Prisoner Caught

After being at large since Monday morning, escaped prisoner Alleem Borden has finally been caught by U.S. Marshals yesterday.

Borden was found and taken into custody in Johnstown, which is almost 250 miles away from Philadelphia.

Authorities connected Borden to a woman he had previous ties with, and surrounded her home in Johnstown. The woman was home when the Marshals arrived, let them in and she confirmed Borden was in the attic.

Borden resisted arrest, but authorities were able to cuff him and forcibly remove him from the attic.

Borden was taken to the Cambria County Prison.

Including Borden, U.S. Marshals have now arrested 7 fugitives in the last year in the Philadelphia region.
