As Taylor Swift’s nearly 2 year long Eras Tour came to an end, pop icon handed out $197 million in bonuses to tour performers and crew members.
The Eras Tour began on March 17, 2023 and ended on December 8, 2024, lasting 632 days, consisting of 149 concerts in 51 cities around the world, breaking records as the highest grossing tour of all time, not to mention, the highest grossing concert film in history and a fastest selling book in 2024.
Swift rewarded her entire staff, which includes the band, carpenters, caterers, choreographers, dancers, hair, instrument techs, lighting, make-up, merchandise, physical therapists, production staff and assistants, pyrotechnics, riggers, security, sound, truck drivers, video and wardrobe teams.
Swift sold over 10.1 million tickets totaling nearly $2.1 billion, with the bonuses accounting for about 9.5% of the sales.
Swift told the final crowd in Vancouver, Canada on December 8, “This tour has been the adventure of a lifetime… I speak on behalf of my band, my crew, my fellow performers, who all left their families and spent time away from everything that they know and love, and have performed when they were sick. When anything was going on in their lives, they made sure that this show happened for you, and I just wanted to say that on behalf of all of us, we will never forget you giving us that moment.”
