Diamondbacks Take Game #2

The Arizona Diamondbacks routed the Texas Rangers on Saturday 9-1 taking game #2 of the World Series and head home with the series tied at one.

Merrill Kelly dominated the Rangers offense going seven strong innings allowing only 1 run on just 3 hits with 9k's.

Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte extended his postseason hitting streak to 18 games setting a new MLB Playoff record. He passed the previous record of 17 games set by Derek Jeter, Manny Ramirez and Hank Bauer. He has had a hit in every postseason game he has played in.

Game #3 is tonight at 8:03pm at Chase Field in Phoenix.

The Rangers, who have won all 8 of their road games this postseason look to keep their streak alive and take the lead in the series.

Texas sends Max Scherzer (0-1, 9.45) to the mound against Brandon Pfaadt (0-0, 2.70) for Arizona.
