Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced a month ago that they added a feature to the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) App for illegal aliens to self-deport. As more arrests and deportations are adding up, DHS is pushing for illegals to use the App to leave the country now.
The feature gives illegals safer options and won’t have to deal with repercussions of being here illegally such as immediate deportation, getting arrested, fines of up to $1,000 per day, and being banned from re-entering the US.
Migrants using the self-deportation app without criminal records would be able to keep any money earned here, possible flights back to their home country and the possibility to return legally in the future.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem stated, “The CBP Home app gives aliens the option to leave now and self-deport, so they may still have the opportunity to return legally in the future and live the American Dream. If they don’t, we will find them, we will deport them, and they will never return.”
