Devers Makes Red Sox History

Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers has set a new franchise record with his sixth straight game with a home run on Monday night.

Devers was tied at six straight games with six other Red Sox players, including Hall of Famers Jimmie Fox and Ted Williams.

The MLB record for a home run in consecutive games is eight by three players. The only ones to accomplish the feat so far are...

Dale Long (1956), Don Mattingly (1987) and Ken Griffey Jr. (1993)

The last time seven consecutive games with a homer occurred was in 2022 by Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout.

"I'm very proud to be in that conversation with him. Obviously, we know the type of superstar that he is. He's a future Hall of Famer and superstar, and to be able to be in the same level with him is very nice," Devers said of Trout after being asked about him being the last player to homer in six straight.
