The Detroit Pistons have set the record for most consecutive losses in a single NBA season. With their 118-112 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night, the Pistons have dropped a record 27th straight.
The home crowd had high hopes of ending the streak as the Pistons jumped out to a 22-8 start. Those hopes quickly evaporated as the Nets outscored them 53-32 the remainder of the first half.
Their next loss will tie the NBA record of 28 straight losses spanning two seasons set by the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2014-15 season and into the 2015-16 season.
Detroit travels to Boston to take on the Celtics tonight at 7:30pm at TD Garden.
