Delta has hired high-powered, prominent attorney David Boies, to help them seek compensation from CrowdStrike and Microsoft after a faulty software update cost them hundreds of millions of dollars.
Although a lawsuit hasn’t officially been filed yet, Boies, chairman of Boies Schiller Flexner, will lead the pursuit for possible damages.
The global outage has so far cost Delta an estimated $350-500 million. Delta had to cancel nearly 7,000 flights, and is in the process of refunding or reimbursing 176,000 customer requests.
