The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed three people were killed after a small plane crashed into a mobile home in Clearwater, FL on Thursday night just after 7:00 p.m.
The pilot and two people inside the mobile home died.
The FAA said the aircraft was a single engine Beechcraft Bonanza V35 and the pilot was reporting an engine problem, yelling out, “Mayday, Mayday,” and then disappeared off the radar about 3 miles away from the St. Pete/Clearwater Airport.
Fire Rescue said four additional homes were either on fire and/or have damaged as well.
The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.
