The Chicago Cubs have acquired right-handed reliever Nate Pearson from the Toronto Blue Jays for shortstop Josh Rivera and outfielder Yohendrick Pinango.
Pearson has a 5.63 ERA with 51 strikeouts over 41 appearances this season.
