Pittsburgh Penguins star and captain, Sidney Crosby moved into sole possession of 10th place on the NHL's all-time points list Thursday night against the Detroit Red Wings with his 1,591st career point.
Scoring his 41st goal of the season, Crosby tied Phil Esposito for 10th place. Later in the game, Crosby collected his 1,000th career assist when he picked up the assist on Erik Karlsson's overtime winning goal, to take sole possession of 10th place on the all-time points list.
Crosby sits 50 points behind Joe Sakic for 9th on NHL's all-time points list.
