Costco has announced that they are recalling packages of salmon due to concerns of listeria contamination.
Letters from Acme Smoked Fish Corp were sent to customers this week informing them of the Kirkland Signature Smoked Salmon recall.
The affected fish products were purchased from October 9th-13th. Packages with the lot number 8512801270 are the only ones affected.
Customers can return the salmon for a full refund.
CEO of Acme Smoked Fish Corp Eduardo Carbajosa said...
"We regret this unfortunate incident and have taken immediate corrective steps to ensure that this issue never happens again."
Listeria has not only hit the Acme Smoked Fish Corp but has also been an issue for Treehouse Foods' frozen waffles as well as Boar's Head meat products. Boar's Head is currently under investigation following a deadly listeria outbreak.
