Congressmen Speak Up in Eagle Pass

Congress members were in Eagle Pass, Texas yesterday in a delegation, got to see the illegal immigrant crisis up close and personal. New York Congressman, Brandon Williams, spoke out in a press conference saying, “… sanctuary cities offering free health care, cashless bail, and coming soon to New York state, immediate work status. This will turn every community where I live in central New York and across America into border cities.”

After speaking to residents in border towns, they expressed to Williams how their hospitals and schools are overwhelmed and at every gas station and convenient store, there are vagrant men asking for money. A local county deputy told Williams they are also overwhelmed with the crisis, and they have no officers available to prohibit the tens of thousands of illegals coming over who are purposely avoiding the checkpoints, most likely because they are criminals, and possibly wanted by the law.

Williams said, “We have no resources to go after this crisis for the ‘GotAways’.” Nathaniel Moran, Texas Congressman said, “The border issue is number one issue that my constituents talk to me about.” Moran said top priority at the current appropriations process needs to focus on border security. Moran said, “If we do not fix this problem and reverse this trend, we’re gonna see this invasion continue.” The processing facility was built for 1,000 individuals, but has nearly 5,000.
