Oil giant Chevron has announced that they are moving its corporate headquarters out of San Ramon, California to Houston Texas.
The headquarters relocation will be official on January 1st, 2025. CEO Mike Wirth and Vice Chairman Mark Nelson will be making the move to Houston prior to that, so they can "co-locate with other senior leaders and enable better collaboration and engagement with executives, employees, and business partners," Chevron said.
"The company expects all corporate functions to migrate to Houston over the next five years," the company added.
Governor Greg Abbott of Texas praised the company's decision to relocate to the Lone Star
State...
"Texas is your home. Drill baby drill," Abbott posted on X/Twitter.
"Great for Houston," the Houston mayor's office posted on X/Twitter.
Chevron is just the latest company in recent years to abandon the once great state of California that has been ruined by far-left policies.
Tesla, X/Twitter, SpaceX, Oracle and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise are some of the companies that have moved their headquarters out of California in recent years.
