The 2024 NBA Finals ended last night as Boston cruised to its 18th NBA championship in franchise history. Their 18th title breaks a tie with the Los Angeles Lakers and now gives Boston the league record for championships.
Boston led by as many as 26 points and finished game five with an 18-point win in front of their home crowd over the visiting Dallas Mavericks 106-88.
Boston went 16-3 throughout the postseason and combined for an 80-21 overall record this season.
NBA teams have now dropped to 0-157 in postseason series' after falling behind 3-0.

Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 31 points and 11 assists. Jaylen Brown had 21 points and Jrue Holiday added 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Celtics.
Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 28 points and 12 rebounds. Kyrie Irving had 15 points and Josh Green added 14 points.
