San Diego Padres right-handed starter Dylan Cease threw the first no-hitter of his career on Thursday afternoon against the Washington Nationals, winning 3-0.
Cease struck out nine and walked three over a dominant 114 pitch outing. He still clocked 100 MPH on his 110th pitch.
It was just the second no-hitter in franchise history for the Padres. Teammate Joe Musgrove threw the first one on April 9th, 2021.
