On Friday, a radical left Supreme Court Justice in Brazil banned Elon Musk's social media company X/Twitter, after the company was unable to name a new legal representative by the Brazilian court's deadline.
Justice Alexandre de Moraes announced that the platform has been blocked, and the block will remain in place until X complies and names a new representative.
X/Twitter had originally been ordered to silence certain political accounts and they refused. While attempting to defend themselves in court, the radical judge attacked X's legal representation.
X/Twitter wrote in a statement...
"When we attempted to defend ourselves in court, Judge de Moraes threatened our legal representative to imprisonment. Even after she resigned, he froze all of her bank accounts.
Our challenges against his manifestly illegal actions actions were either dismissed or ignored. Judge de Moraes' colleagues on the Supreme Court are either unwilling or unable to stand up to him."
