Left-handed starter Chris Sale has signed a 2 year, $38 million contract extension with the Atlanta Braves.
Sale was traded to the Braves from the Boston Red Sox on Saturday for infielder Vaughn Grissom. The Red Sox also sent $17 million in cash considerations.
The new deal has Sale making $16 million in 2024 and $22 million in 2025. It also includes an $18 million team option for 2026.
