BMW Recalls Over 390,000 Vehicles

BMW has announced it is recalling over 390,000 vehicles in the United States due to potential airbags exploding. 


The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said that if the inflator were to explode, it could result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or others in the vehicle resulting in fatalities or serious injuries.

 2006-11  3 Series Sedan  -  324i, 325i, 325xi, 328i, 328xi, 330i, 330xi, 335i, 335xi.


2006-12  3 Series Sportswagon  -  325xi, 328i, 328xi.


2009-11  3 Series Sedan  -  335d.


BMW dealers will inspect and replace the driver's airbag module for free. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on August 23rd.
