Billups, Carter Elected to NBA Hall of Fame

Chauncey Billups and Vince Carter will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in its class of 2024.


The official announcement will be Saturday April 6th and the induction ceremony will be held on the weekend of August 16th and 17th. 


Billups played 17 seasons after being the #3 overall pick in the 1997 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics. He was a five time All-Star, named to two All-Defensive teams and the Finals MVP in 2004 when the Detroit Pistons won the NBA Title.

Carter played 22 seasons (the most in NBA history) after being the #5 overall pick in the 1998 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors. He was the 1999 Rookie of the Year and won the Slam Dunk contest in 2000. Carter was an eight time All-Star, had 6,606 rebounds and ranks 21st on the NBA's all-time scoring list with 25,728 points.
