In his last chance to delay the start of his prison sentence, Steve Bannon has filed an emergency appeal with the Supreme Court.
Bannon's attorneys say it would be an even-handed approach to allow Bannon to remain on release while the appeals process plays out. He also points out the timing, saying that the government is seeking to imprison Bannon for four months just ahead of the presidential election.
Bannon is due to self-surrender on July 1st.
