Baby Powder Recall

After a routine sampling program by the FDA, the potential of asbestos contamination is being reported in Dynacare Baby Powder causing the Dynarex Corporation to expand the recall of the product. The recall was initiated in September among 12 states, but has now been expanded to 35 states.


The recalled products have an item numbers 4875 and 4874, which are on the 14 and 4-ounce plastic bottle containers respectively.


Dynarex said the recalled baby powder products were sold on or after January 18, 2024 and were distributed in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, NE, NY, NM, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, TN, TN, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI. The products were also sold on Amazon.com.


Dynarex instructs customers to immediately stop using the recalled products and either throw them out or return them for a full refund.


No adverse events or illnesses have been reported.
