At Least 113 Dead from Roof Collapse in Dominican Republic

At least 113 are reported dead and 255 injured from a roof that collapsed in a nightclub in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic just before 1:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday.
Rescue workers are still searching for survivors through rubble at the Jet Set club, the capital city’s popular nightclub, which has been around for about 5 decades. Hundreds were at the popular club watching a concert by popular merengue singer Rubby Pérez. Among the deceased is former MLB World Series pitcher Octavio Dotel and player Tony Blanco.
It is still unknown what caused the roof to collapse and club owners are said to be cooperating with authorities.
