The Houston Astros took game #3 of the American League Championship Series 8-5 handing the Texas Rangers their first loss of the postseason. The Rangers had swept the top two teams in the American League in the first two rounds (Tampa Bay Rays & Baltimore Orioles) to get to their first ALCS since 2011. This is their first postseason series against their instate division rivals in team history.
All three games have been won by the road team so far.
Game #4 is tonight at 8:03pm at Globe Life Field in Arlington with Jose Uriquidy on the mound for the Astros facing Andrew Heaney of the Rangers.
*** The National League Championship Series game #3 takes place today at 5:07pm as the Arizona Diamondbacks host the Philadelphia Phillies at Chase Field in Phoenix. The Diamondbacks are looking for their first win of the series as they are down 2-0. The Phillies send Ranger Suarez to the mound to face Brandon Pfaadt of the Diamondbacks.
