Astros Extend Altuve

Star second baseman Jose Altuve will be an Astro for life.


The Houston Astros have given the face of their franchise, Jose Altuve a 5 year,  $125 million contract extension through the 2029 season. 


Through the five years Altuve will make $30M, $30M, $30M, $25M and $10M. He also will receive a $15 million signing bonus. 


Altuve,  who has spent his entire 13 year career with the Astros, is the first second baseman in Major League Baseball history to earn $300 million guaranteed throughout their career.
