Arrest Warrant Issued for Rashee Rice

Dallas Police have issued an arrest warrant for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, Rashee Rice in connection with a high-speed, multi-vehicle crash.

Rice is facing eight charges connected to the incident: one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury, and six counts of collision involving bodily injury.

Rice was driving a Lamborghini that was seen allegedly racing a Corvette driven by Theodore Knox (also issued an arrest warrant for the same charges) on a Dallas highway on March 30. The two drivers lost control of their vehicles and caused a chain of collisions involving four other vehicles. Rice, Knox and their passengers left their vehicles at the scene and left the scene by foot.

Two people were treated on the scene and two others were taken to a local hospital, but no major injuries were reported. Police also found 10.8 grams of marijuana, a $16,500 check and a Chiefs playbook at the scene.

Rice said, “I take full responsibility.” Rice’s attorney, Texas state Senator Royce West, said Rice will do “everything in his power” to help the victims recover from injuries and recoup their losses from property damage.”
