Actor David Soul Died At 80

Actor David Soul, best known for his role of detective Kenneth “Hutch” Hutchinson from TV’s Starsky & Hutch died Thursday at 80-years-old.

Prior to landing his role of Hutch, Soul appeared on shows such as All in the Family, Magnum Force, Star Trek, and Here Comes the Brides.

The popular crime fighting show Starsky & Hutch ran from 1975-1979. Soul had said in a post on X recently his co-star, Paul Michael Glaser, “is and will always be my best friend, my brother.”

Soul’s wife of 13 years, Helen Snell announced the news of his passing in a statement saying Soul, “died yesterday after a valiant battle for life in the loving company of family.”

His wife Helen Snell, six children and seven grandchildren survive Soul. Snell described him as a “beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother.”
