Aaron Judge Officially Signs with Jordan Brand

Yankees captain, 5-time All-Star, MLB MVP in 2022, Aaron Judge officially signed an endorsement deal with the Jordan Brand on Friday. Judge is now the 5th active MLB player to be added to the Jordan Brand along with Manny Machado, Mookie Betts, Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. We must not forget former Yankee captain and legend, Derek Jeter who is also part of the Jordan Brand athletes. This deal is expected to potentially generate millions of dollars in revenue in the coming years. A recreation of Michael Jordan’s iconic image of him sporting his 6 NBA title rings, was how the endorsement was announced on social media. Although Judge did get some criticism for being in the recreated photo, since he’s yet to win an MLB championship title.

Judge’s first official Player Exclusive (PE) pair of “Jumpman” (the official logo of Jordan Brand) Air Jordan 1 Low cleats is named “Double Gum.” The bubble gum pink colored cleats are said to be inspired by Judge’s bubble-gum ritual he partakes in each game. Judge is said to pop 2 pieces of gum in his mouth at the top of the first inning. If he gets a hit, he keeps the same gum in, if he strikes out, he gets 2 new pieces. It is unclear if the new “Double Gum” cleats will be released to the public, or if they will remain exclusive to Judge himself.
