The San Francisco 49ers have placed rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall on the reserve/non-football injury list. This means he will miss at least the first 4 games of the 2024 season after being shot in the chest on Saturday afternoon in San Francisco.
The 17 year old who shot Pearsall is in police custody.
Pearsall was drafted by the 49ers in the first round (31st overall) in April's NFL Draft.
San Francisco starts their season at home on Monday, September 9th against the New York Jets.
